Ever fancied learning to knit? I run very lovely, very friendly knitting workshops in Edinburgh and East Lothian in various cafes, restaurants and interesting spaces.
I have a maximum of 6 people per workshop (to make sure that you are not left stranded should you drop a stitch) and we work on producing a small but beautiful project, such as wrist-warmers. The sessions are a half day and we cover and practice all the basic knitting moves: casting on, knitting, purling, decreasing stitches, increasing stitches, fixes and binding off. We also go over different yarns and weights, what you need to look for when you go to a knitting shop and what equipment you need… and any other questions that might come up!
I’m now taking bookings for Tuesday 21st March at Leo’s Café in the Dovecot Gallery. Please fill in the form below or send me an email if you would like to book a place or find out more. The session runs from 9:30-12:30 and costs £29.95 including all materials, coffee and CAKE 🙂
If you have a cafe or restaurant and would like to have a class at your venue, or if you are a group (minimum 3 people) who would like me to come and teach please contact me using the form below.
“It was such a lovely way to spend a Sunday evening – learning a new skill in a great location, with good company and delicious cake and very soon I will have a gorgeous pair of wristwarmers that I’ve made myself! Thank you so much @castawayknitting &@centurygeneralstore! Would definitely like to come to the next workshop. X”
